Join us on a journey back in time to one of the most iconic and legendary cities of the ancient world – Troy. Our tour begins with a pick-up from your residence in Istanbul at approximately seven in the morning. From there, we’ll embark on a scenic drive to Çanakkale, a city located on the southern coast of the Dardanelles at its narrowest point.
Upon arrival in Çanakkale, we’ll begin our exploration of Troy, the ancient city made famous by Homer’s epic poem, the Iliad. The archaeological site of Troy is located in the northwest of modern-day Turkey, and it is one of the most significant historical sites in the world.
As we make our way through the ruins of the city, we’ll visit some of the most important landmarks, including the Trojans, sacramental altars, and the city walls, which date back 3,700 years. We’ll also explore the First Houses of Troy, which date back to 3000 BC – 2500 BC, as well as the Buleuterium (Senate building) and the Odeon (concert hall).
Our tour will take us through the remains of different cities from Troy I to Troy IX, providing a fascinating insight into the development and evolution of the ancient city. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the city’s rich history and the various legends and myths associated with it, including the famous story of the Trojan War.
After completing the tour, we’ll head back to Istanbul and drop you off at your place of residence.
